Custom 3D Printing Solutions

End-to-end support for non-standard projects, large parts and industrial production

We step in where standard printing falls short

Not every project fits a standard FDM print. For oversized parts, unusual materials, tight tolerances or confidential R&D work, Ucuz3D develops custom solutions. We listen to your idea and determine the most suitable production method together.

What do we offer?

  • Large-format printing: We produce models that don’t fit in a single piece in sections and join them with flawless assembly.
  • Special and technical materials: Functional parts in carbon-fiber-reinforced, high heat-resistant (PC), flexible (TPU) and engineering plastics.
  • Low- and mid-volume batch production: Tens or hundreds of units with no mold cost.
  • Engineering and design consultancy: Printability analysis, reverse engineering and 3D scanning.
  • Confidentiality (NDA): We produce your sensitive projects securely under a non-disclosure agreement.

If you’re wondering whether the project you have in mind is “feasible,” share your file or idea with us; we’ll evaluate it free of charge and draw up a roadmap.

How the custom solution process works

The process starts with understanding your project. When you reach out, we discuss the part’s intended use, the load it must bear, your quantity expectations and the delivery timeline. If you already have a 3D model, we go straight into production; if not, we prepare the model ourselves through design support or reverse engineering by taking measurements from a physical sample.

  • Consultation and analysis: Clarifying needs, material and tolerance expectations
  • Design / model preparation: Checking an existing model or designing from scratch
  • Sample print: A single piece for validation before batch production
  • Approval and production: Producing the batch after your approval

We work on a pay-after-approval basis; you don’t pay before seeing the sample and the quote. For details, you can use the quote form.

Who is this service for

It is suitable for R&D departments, machinery and automation companies, design studios, architectural offices and entrepreneurs developing their own products. We cover a wide range of needs, from prototype validation to spare-part production, from trade-fair models to low-volume final products. On all corporate projects we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on request, protecting your files and your idea.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is pricing determined for custom solution projects?

As with standard prints, the base pricing is calculated transparently per gram and by material. If there are additional items such as design support, reverse engineering or batch production quantity, we specify these separately for the project and provide a clear quote. You can review current per-gram prices on our production prices page.

I don’t have a ready 3D model, only an idea or a sample part. Can you still produce it?

Yes. If you don’t have a model, we can turn your idea into a print-ready 3D model with design support. If you have a physical sample, we take measurements and create its model using reverse engineering. In that case, we present the model for your approval before going into production.

Which file formats can I send?

The most widely used format for printing is STL; we also accept STEP, OBJ and 3MF files. Solid model formats such as STEP make it easier for us to edit the design when needed. If you’re not sure about your file, just send it via the quote form and we’ll check its suitability.

Do you do batch production, and up to how many units can I order?

We’re suited to low- and mid-volume batch production; FDM 3D printing is an economical solution especially for batch sizes where mold cost doesn’t make sense. As the quantity increases, the unit cost drops. If your needs reach very high quantities, we’ll evaluate the project and guide you toward the most suitable method.

I don’t know which material to choose for my project, can you help?

Of course. We have 17 different material options, and we determine the right material together based on the part’s intended use. For example, ASA/PETG may be recommended for outdoor parts or those exposed to heat, and reinforced filaments where strength is required. Just tell us the usage conditions and that’s enough for us to make the right recommendation.

Can I be sure my designs and project will remain confidential?

Yes. For corporate and custom projects, we sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on your request. The files, designs and project information you send us are not shared with third parties and are used solely for your business.
