The right material: PETG/ABS for durability, TPU for grip

The lifespan of a holder is directly tied to the filament we use. For load-bearing parts such as the body and the clamp, we use PETG or ABS, which do not deform easily in sun and heat; PETG is a safe choice especially for environments that get hot in summer, like a car interior. For the gripping surfaces the phone touches and for the parts that flex to clamp, we recommend TPU (flexible filament); TPU both reduces slipping and holds your phone without scratching it.

Because we only do FDM (filament) printing, all production is carried out with durable thermoplastics; we decide together which material is right for which part based on where you will use it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you really need to know my phone model?

Yes, for a holder that grips or cradles the phone, the width, height and thickness matter; that is why we ask you to share your phone model (or your measurements including the case). If you want a universal/spring-loaded design, we can also work without the model information.

I do not have a ready 3D model, can I still get a holder made?

Absolutely. Most of our customers do not have a file. Reach out with a photo of where you will use it, the rough measurements of the mounting point (for example the handlebar diameter or the air vent thickness) and your phone model; we will model the holder from scratch and produce it for you.

Will it warp in the heat inside a car?

For load-bearing parts and parts exposed to the sun, we minimise this risk by using more heat-resistant filaments such as PETG or ABS. We decide on the material together based on where you will use it; because we only do FDM filament printing, all parts are durable thermoplastic.

Is a flexible, non-slip grip possible?

Yes. On the surfaces the phone touches and on clamps that hold by flexing, we use TPU (flexible filament). TPU both prevents slipping and grips your phone without scratching it, with a rubber-like hold.
